Dispatcher Dave Ball (Ret'd)
BALL, David Allan February 7, 1949 - April 16, 2017
It is with great sadness the family of David Allan Ball announces his passing at Lakeridge Heath Oshawa on April 16, 2017, after a courageous battle with cancer. David was an avid outdoorsman and a proud member of the Pickering Fire Department for over 30 years. His wonderful laugh and sense of humour will be always cherished in our hearts. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his dear wife of 47 years Marilyn, his daughters Donna Hill (Paul), and Michelle Fannin. His mother Vivian Ball, his brothers William Ball (Joan), Stan Ball (Ann), Perry Ball, and his granddaughters Danielle and Emalee, as well as his nieces, nephews and cousins. In keeping with David's wishes, a private family service was held on Saturday, April 22, 2017. The family would like to send a special thank you to the Supportive Care Team at Lakeridge Health for their caring and support during David's last days.

Captain Erick Andersen (Ret'd)
May 12, 1935 - January 19, 2017
It is with a heavy heart & much sadness we had to say goodbye to Erick. He fought the fight but did not win & succumbed to his pneumonia & lung disease . He was surrounded by his loving family when he went to join his daughter, Kelly, in heaven.
He joined the department as a volunteer in 1957 and was hired full time in December of 1965. He retired in December of 1993.
Erick was a past President of the Pickering Professional Firefighters Association.

Daniel leaves behind his two children, Declan and Danica and their mother Leanne, his parents David (Linda) and Susan, his sisters Andrea (Carl), Jennifer (Sam, Liam & Chloe) his grandmother Patricia and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Daniel will be sadly missed by his second family Harry and Wanda Assinck and his best friend and brother Steve Assinck, Godson Daniel, Casssidy and Justin. Daniel also leaves behind all his firefighter brothers that he worked with and spoke so highly of. Daniel will always be in our hearts and will be with us forever. You'll never walk alone Daniel.
